
Before 2012, American school lunches – whether they be from elementary, middle, or high schools – never stood up to the healthy plates found in the countries of our brothers and sisters. In 2012, led then by First Lady, Michelle Obama, coordinated with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to release new school lunch guidelines, aimed to greatly enhance the nutritional value of every meal served. American school plates have definitely improved since then, but we’re still not sure they can compare with these beautiful collections of appetizing meats, cheeses, carbs, fruits, and veggies on plates from around the world. Therefore, we ask you, are our children getting the lunches they deserve?
